Our Impact
Before Family Promise, families often had to make a decision – split up to receive services or stay on the streets. Families in need no longer need to split up – we keep them together. We provide holistic solutions for families facing homelessness. Families come to us in crisis; our approach of coordinated compassion helps them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support.

KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER
We believe families should stay together — not be separated — during the most difficult times in their lives.The majority of shelters in the state have stipulations on the populations they serve (men only, women and children only etc.). We serve families regardless of size, make-up or composition to ensure they can stay together.
ACHIEVING SUCCESS
In 2024 we served 109 families experiencing homelessness. More than 84% of the families in our shelter programs secured housing in an average of just 112 days because of our intensive case management and community support.
ENGAGING VOLUNTEERS
Thanks to the widespread support of our mission in our community, we have been able to mobilize more than 2,100 volunteers who make a tremendous difference in families’ lives—and in their communities.

WE'RE ESSENTIAL
1 in 30 kids will experience homelessness each year in Delaware - 18 kids become homeless each day. It is our mission to make sure that each of these kids and their families have a safe place to stay while working towards securing permanent housing.

We wholeheartedly believe in the power of our local community to create a positive transformational change when we work together to achieve a common goal. That’s why Family Promise NNCC is a community based organization – we’re working with our neighbors to address a community challenge by presenting a community based solution.
